Guided itineraries

The National Park's public service team has designed among other activities, different guided itineraries on offer to the public during the summer. The main objective is to show visitors, in a pleasant and meaningful way, the most outstanding features of the route, depending on the chosen theme.

At present, on offer are the interpretative routes with general contents, where the objective is the identification of the main assets of the Park and others that portray specific aspects of the natural and cultural heritage. The itineraries are free of charge but you need to register in advance at the information booths in the islands, where the different routes, schedules and the maximum number of participants in each one are displayed. These requirements are essential to offer a quality activity.

There is also the possibility of advance registration for these routes through the National Parks reservation centre whenever calls are open.

Signposted itineraries

There are currently 4 trails shown with their corresponding colours (as displayed on the park maps) that traverse the islands of Faro and Monteagudo because the island of San Martino still does not have any public use areas.

All routes are linear, an aspect that should be taken into account when planning the visit. This is due to the physical characteristics of the land and the existing zoning. The estimated average duration of the itinerary takes into account only the inbound time.

All routes start at the National Park information booth, where one can obtain clarifications or specific information about the same.

Other activities

Diving and "snorkelling" are permitted in bathing areas. It is advisable to wear a simple neoprene suit as the water temperature is around 15 degrees in the summer. Ask at the information points if you wish to get a loan of the guide to marine species, receive companies' contact details, or information on the best areas...

You need to get the diving permit in advance to use a lead belt.

There is also the possibility of underwater activities and canoe trips on the island through companies authorized by the National Park.
