The National Park islands throughout history were home to a number of human settlements that left an interesting cultural heritage, which is being protected by the Park. The most outstanding actions undertaken include an archaeological survey, the conditioning and signposting of petroglyphs and several underwater archaeological exploration campaigns.
Emblematic buildings, villages and other important ethnographic premises are being subject to recovery and enhancement as part of the conservation plan of this heritage. Likewise, the cultural imprint that the navigators and settlers left behind, resulted in abundant knowledge and chores, and work is underway to ascertain this knowledge and conserve it.
