Guided itineraries

The National Park's public service team, among other activities, have designed different guided itineraries for the general public during the summer months. The main objective is to inform visitors, in a pleasant and meaningful manner, the most outstanding features of the route, depending on the chosen theme.

At present, interpretative routes with general contents have been created, where the objective is to highlight the main assets of the Park, as well as others, in which more specific aspects of the natural and cultural heritage are shown. They are free of charge, but you need to register in advance at the information stands on the islands, where the different routes, schedules and the maximum number of participants for each are displayed, requirements that are essential to offer a quality activity.

There is also the possibility of early registration for these routes through the National Parks reservation centre whenever calls are open.

You can also download the self-help guide for the route entitled "Names of the island" by clicking here.

Signposted itineraries

There are presently 4 marked trails on the Island of Ons that are shown with their corresponding colours (as displayed on the park maps).

The current roads have made it possible to design circular itineraries that allow the visitor to fully appreciate the natural and cultural assets on Ons without excessively increasing the duration of the routes.

It is important to pay attention to the existing signage as well as the possible indications of the park staff. This is because the island is inhabited and there are many roads, so one can easily get lost, enter restricted areas and/or delay the return trip to the port.

All routes start at the National Park information booth, where we can ask for clarifications and more specific information about each itinerary.

Other activities

Diving and "snorkelling" are permitted in bathing areas. It is advisable to wear a simple neoprene suit as the water temperature is around 15 degrees in the summer. Ask at the information points to get a loan of guides to marine species, companies' contact details, information on the best areas, etc.

If using a lead belt, you need to get the diving permit in advance.

There is also the possibility of doing underwater activities and canoe trips on the island through companies authorized by the National Park.
