Prior to boarding the vessel, do visit the exhibition and request information about the islands in this centre.

Information booth in the Cíes archipelago

The information booth in the Cíes archipelago is located 100 metres from the Cíes Passenger Pier, on the island of Monteagudo. You can receive information about the National Park, both in terms of services and possible activities on the islands such as routes, activities, accessibility support elements, loaned guidebooks and informative material, handling of lost objects, etc. The main objective is to inform visitors about how to make the most of their visit to the Cíes islands. This service is available during peak maritime transport season.

Cies Islands Visitor Centre

It is situated 1.2 km from the Rhodes pier on the island of Faro. Inaugurated as an Interpretation Centre in 1997, the Centre is housed inside an old 19th century artillery warehouse erected on the ruins of the Santo Estevo Monastery that dates back to the 11th century. One can still see the remains of the foundation, some items that were part of the building cornices and an anthropomorphic tomb.

The Centre currently has an information point for visitors, an interpretation-exhibition room, an area for children's workshop, and a multipurpose room for projections, courses, conferences and group activities that are either programmed by the park staff or available upon request. It is open during Easter and the summer season.

Information panels and signage

The National Park has an information panel in the Cíes archipelago located in front of the information booth. It has a specific map of the archipelago, showing the services, points of interest and itineraries, and also a general map showing the location of the National Park and some basic aspects of regulations in the natural space. The trails open to public use are signposted. There are information panels on the natural and historical assets of the islands.
