This service is available in the Cíes Islands only in the summer months. The health care point is located a few metres from the information booth, next to Rhodes beach. The Vigo municipality normally has a beach surveillance service on these islands during the summer season. The staff for these services arrives in the islands on the first daily boat and return on the last boat.
There is no potable drinking water
It is important that you carry water when visiting the islands since this is a windy territory with a lot of salt in the air, which facilitates dehydration under the sun. Water can be purchased in the catering services of the islands.
Public toilets are accessible and are located on the road that goes above the campsite onto the lighthouse route.
Taking advantage of the natural shelter provided by the trees, several rest areas with stone tables and benches are provided next to some of the most frequented trails. The most important ones are next to the lake, Nuestra Señora beach, and on the trail to Figueiras beach.
Although there are many places on the islands for admiring the landscape, only some are considered special due to their high scenic interest, size and location. In the Cíes islands, we have the Cíes Lighthouse, Porta Lighthouse, and Monteagudo Lighthouse, Pedra da Campa, and the Alto do Principe viewpoints.
There are wooden huts for the observation of seabirds that are designed to approach the breeding areas without disturbing or chasing birds away. There are two in the Cíes Islands, one located a few metres from the La Pedra da Campa viewpoint and another next to the Monteagudo Lighthouse, on the island bearing the same name.
